The Superbowl, which is the biggest betting sports event of the year in North America, is known for the crazy amount of prop bets offered on the game. For those who are unaware of what a prop bet is, basically a prop bet is a side bet on an outcome within the game. Prop bets are anything that you can bet on other than the winner of the game (money line or spread) and the game total. For me picking New Orleans is a no brainer. A +130 odds you are getting a lot of value with this prop bet. It is clear that both teams can score, and there is a good chance it will come down to the coinflip to see who scores first. If New Orleans wins the 50/50 coin flip I think they have a great shot at scoring first in Superbowl 44.

In the NFC Conference Finals we didn’t see a Field Goal until overtime. With the Superbowl 44 Over Under set at 56.5 I look for this game to be another shootout type game, with each team scoring a couple touchdowns. This is one of my favorite Superbowl prop bets to bet on, and I will be laying down pretty big on the first score to be a touchdown.
More Points Scored in First Half or Second Half + OT
2nd Half plus OT (-110)
I really like this prop bet for this year’s Superbowl 44. I believe there will be more points scored in the second half of the game. As both offense may have the jitters in the first few series’, I think that there will be less TDs scored and more points put up in the second half. Lay a prop bet down on the 2nd half to have the higher scoring.
